We specialise in short (2 to 12 weeks) and long (3 to 6 months) Erasmus + placements in the hospitality and catering industry and other sectors in Nantes and the surrounding area, and throughout Europe.
As an intermediary organisation, we set up and support high-quality Erasmus + work placements for apprentices, students and young graduates from France and the European Union. We support everyone involved in the project from its inception to completion, to ensure that everyone has a rewarding and fulfilling experience. Long placements can lead to employment.

Erasmus + How does it work?
Erasmus + is a mobility programme created and funded by the European Commission. It encourages young people to gain international work experience. We support European educational institutions (with access to Erasmus + grants) in the development and organisation of mobility projects for their students and young graduates in France and in Europe.
Selected participants receive a grant to cover travel and living expenses during their mobility (transport, accommodation, food, leisure, culture,...). These grants vary according to the country of origin and destination. However, Ohlala Placements ensures that each participant has enough money to live during their mobility.
For all mobility, a tripartite agreement is signed between the sending organisation, the participant and the host company. The participant joins the company on a full-time basis for the duration specified in the placement contract.

An extensive network of partner training organisations in France and Europe
Not everyone has the same expectations about their project or aspirations for their future career. This is why we work with a large range of host companies going from small independent artisan bakery and pastry shops or traditional restaurants, to 4 & 5-star hotels and Michelin starred restaurants in the Nantes area. Our expertise lies in matching the aspirations of the young professionals with the expectations of the host companies in which they will train. These companies have been diligently selected and they all offer good learning and development opportunities for the trainees. We also make sure they all share our values and believe in giving young professionals the chance to develop themselves and keep learning about their job in another country.

Where many other internship organisations are multi-sectoral, at Ohlala Placements we have chosen to concentrate on areas that we have known and worked with for over 10 years. Fields in which we have accompanied hundreds of professionals in our past experiences. We favour the quality of the experiences we offer rather than their quantity.
Our recipe for success
We carefully select participants and make sure they are passionate about their job and involved in their project. We select quality host companies in France who offer a good training ground and believe in the development of young European talents through the Erasmus programme. We provide regular follow up and are reactive should there be an issue or problem to fix. We report to the sending organisations regularly to keep them updated of the projects.

There is a real social dimension to everything we do. Our strength lies in our comprehensive follow-up and support before and during the mobility period. The success of the project for the participant, as well as for the host company, is at the heart of our concerns.
A strong presence and support
A professional and life experience abroad is difficult. This is why we are present, upstream, to help the beneficiaries to put themselves in the best conditions. We are also present throughout the project to ensure that it runs smoothly and to act quickly in the event of difficulties for the participant or his host company. This presence takes the form of regular follow-up meetings and great availability in case of emergency.
